Hot shot at 12
We are on the homestretch of preparing to leave. Camera gear is organized, bug spray, snacks, ipods, etc. Yesterday, Curtis picked up Lewis from four weeks at sports camp in New Hampshire, grumpy that he wasn’t staying for the full seven weeks. Mumbling, moody, twelve year old boys in full puberty, don’t always make the most pleasant traveling companions. B R E A T H E To top it off, I stepped into what was virtually a ground hog hole on second avenue on Thursday afternoon, and badly sprained my ankle. So now I’m enduring the challenges of packing……on crutches. bloody hell. As my girlfriend says, “Welcome to **** happens!” So, knowing that I AM SUPERWOMAN, I’m doing everything humanly possible to expedite the rehab of my ankle, so I can leave these crutches with someone in Thailand, who needs them more than I do. Ready, set, GO! This should be interesting.

Awesome Cheryl. Wish I were traveling with you all. We were in the same area last winter.
A late happy Birthday as well.
Look forward to pics.
Love to all,
Geoff

Oh funny how you can travel worldwide and injure yourself near your home. Good Luck to all of you. My experience with this age group is just keep breathing, one day you have an adult and the next day you have a two year old again, my experience as a speech pathologist in an IS school.
Roseanne
Thanks for including me on your wonderful journey. Preparing to get away is always tough, but on crutches! Good thing you subscribe to being SUPERWOMAN.

Can’t wait to read all about it. Now THIS is truly what we mean by “Adventures in Parenting”. Best of everything, and keep that ankle up as often as possible (though I’m sure you’ll be active as always…)

Happy Adventures to you all. And ditch those crutches! Soak it all in – it will be incredible I am sure. Elephant’s are my favorite – please blow them a kiss from me.

Safe travels. I love how superwomen handles adversity. Looking forward to hearing about your adventure (and that ankle healing).
omg Cheryl!!! unbelievable!! you were probably in high gear of preparation that last day

C – You may not be aware but CJ was famous for his elephant cry vocal impression growing up. You may want to encourage him to give it a try next to one of those ENORMOUS and magnificent creatures after getting yourself, Lewis and your crutches to a safe distance. Beautiful photos and magical itinerary. Cant wait for the next entry. Best, JD
